Want to change your landscape but don't know where to begin? We can help!
We offer design/build services if you don't know where to start, or
implementation/continuation of an existing plan, or just a seasonal change of
annual plantings. Are you a Do-It-Yourself person? You can do as much or as
little as you want, and we'll do the rest. Our goal is to make YOU comfortable,
knowledgeable, and happy with the environment you help to create. After all,
YOU live there every day, we just see it once a week if we maintain it!
If you have an idea of what you want, we can work with you to develop your
plan; but even if you only know what you DON'T want, I have a database of
"tried and true favorite" plants which I have used with great success here.
(Just because a plant is listed for Zone 7 does not mean it'll always work...)
We use native plants where possible, advise against invasives, and work with
you to create YOUR landscape according to YOUR needs.
A pond or pondless water feature can create a tranquil retreat from worldly
worries by masking off-property noise (like traffic or neighbors), a scent
garden can offer olfactory gratification, a touch garden is great for kids (some
research has shown them to be theraputic for autistic and other special needs
kids), and a year-round cycle of blooming plants can bring color and depth to
your sanctum. Low-maintenance plants will provide beauty without
monopolizing your weekends (if we don't do your maintenance), and
properly-sited plants will offer three-dimensional presence without crowding.
Semi-permeable paths and patios will allow percolation of rainwater to help
minimize the impact of all the impermeable surfaces (like roads and roofs) that
civilization must create, and pop-up drains can move roof water away from
your home's foundation and into the always-thirsty turf. We'll work together to
ensure that you have the retreat that's right for YOU: the plants and features
YOU want for the way YOU use the space.
