Landscape Maintenance,
Design, & Installation
Alpharetta, GA 30004
I have been maintaining residential and commercial properties for my own
company since 2001. Prior to that, I have worked for several different
landscape companies since 1988 performing both maintenance and
installation. I usually perform at least 2 hours per week of research so that I
can provide you with the most complete and timely knowledge possible. I have
studied through the Professional Lawn Care Association of America and The
University of Georgia for my Certified Turfgrass Professional certification. I am
a Category 24 Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator (so anything "they"
can apply, I can apply), but I prefer to use the least amount of synthetics
and I
never, EVER apply insecticide unless specifically asked
.

My methods are a little different than most companies': I believe that God put a
system in place, and that His system can't be replicated through chemicals
alone. I use specially-modified mulching mowers (no bagging or
side-discharge), apply organic products where possible
(it is more expensive
than synthetic, but that option is there for you)
, and use cultural controls to
minimize weed infiltration in turf. I properly plant installed materials to insure
survivability, and use native plants where possible. (You will still have to water,
though!) I use mulches (pine straw, bark, cypress, etc) to help prevent weed
growth naturally in beds and make the most of water. I never apply anything
but fertilizer and herbicide on your property unless absolutely necessary, and
only then with one-time consent. (Fewer chemicals seems a good philosophy
where your family is playing...)

I will share my research and education with my clients to explain
why I do what I
do...at least until they get that glazed "too much information!" look. :)

I'll probably never be a millionaire (when is the last time you heard "I made my
first million mowing lawns"?), so rather than trying to have the biggest
company, I'll be happy having the best company. My goal is not riches (that's
not whom I serve), but to gradually change the world by changing minds
through education and by promoting a more sustainable and environmentally
sound landscape with fewer synthetic chemicals and wiser irrigation.

My company doesn't use contracts. We want to be in your yard because you
WANT us in your yard, not because you feel contractually obligated. With our
weekly packages, this also serves our clients with tighter budgets better in that
they only pay when service is performed. For clients who prefer a more
manicured landscape, we offer monthly packages that include pruning and/or
herbicide/fertilizer application. I would prefer that
all my clients were year-round
clients, as I prefer to work in lush, manicured yards, but not everyone is
financially blessed with abundance.

I am a landscaper because I WANT to be a landscaper. As an articulate,
literate, multilingual, educated, intelligent, and competent person, there are
many careers that I could pursue. I CHOOSE to be a landscaper because I
have selected it as my career, and, if it is God's plan for my life, will continue to
do so for as many years to come as I am allowed.
